a long, but good, couple of days

22 Jan

I wanted to post last night, but didn’t have the energy.  D ended up not sleeping at all last night (literally, he had a 2 hour nap around 10am today and that was about it) and I spent the whole night coughing.  I figure I got maybe 2 hours sleep if I was lucky.  I did however go to work, but I was able to leave early.  Very early.  I have used wayy too much vacation time this month! O_O

Anyway, so last night.. let’s see…well, we had some damn good sex! We ended up trying a new position 🙂 We discovered it just goofing off in bed.  I lay in my side/stomach, like with my left (or right) arm and leg propped up with pillows and blankets and D comes at me from behind/on top.  It was damn good! We have to tweak it a bit though, so he can get better leverage so it’s easier on his lower back.  It’s nothing either of us could come from probably, however … damn it felt good.  It was like an internal massage 😀  After that, we went through 3 other positions and came damn fucking hard!

Today, once we napped, we ended up having to scrounge around to get enough cash to pay off my old landlord. Finally!!  Got the receipt to the new landlords and I have (another) appointment to sign the lease.  Yay!! 😀  I also made sure to let them know about these people upstairs that have been throwing stuff off their balcony and just leaving it there.  >.> Seriously.  One night when we were coming into the apartment via the patio they threw a broom and a set of keys out there.  *While* we were walking in.  This time it was a giant (like the black lawn size) garbage bag, broken open! Plus a fucking Hammer.  A HAMMER!! O_O So anyway, they [the landlords] are taking care of it.  They actually had talked about digging through the garbage to find something with a name on it to ensure they reprimand the right people.  It’s actually a possibly eviction offense.

During our errands we actually ended up with a lot more money than we had anticipated! 😀 WOOT! (Although, we both are wishing we knew about this place to take our old jewelry and stuff, ‘cuz we got 3x as much money as the other place we took it last time.)  So, we were able to get a decent amount of groceries and such, which is good ‘cuz we’re probably gonna be blizzarded in this weekend.  *sighs* I’m gonna make D banana ice cream in a bit.  YUM!

Tonight we got a LOT of cleaning and rearranging done tonight, so major WOOT WOOT on that! We got the bathroom cleaned, floor swiffered and vacuumed.  We also got about 90% of the cardboard boxes emptied out and the boxes in the Dumpster so that’s excellent.  So much more space! 🙂

Anyway, so we did all that and realized we have a fuck ton of laundry to do! LOL So, hopefully the weather will break  or a while tomorrow ‘cuz we want to run to the library and then get some quarters so we can do our fuck ton of laundry.  As I think about it, we probably have like, 3 loads to do.  Considering that’s all the washers and dryers this part of the building has I hope that’s all we have to do, or we’ll really be doing laundry all damn day.

So, time to go make that ice cream 🙂 Think after this episode of Black Books I wanna watch a movie.  Hope you all have a good night!!

Updated to include photo’s of my banana ice cream 😀

Ooh, how do you actually make banana ice cream? I tried it before, but it just didn’t freeze very well. Does it help to cut them up in smaller pieces first?

Yep. 🙂 What I do is peel the banana and then break them in half. After a few hours, I put them in a food processor until it’s nice and creamy. I’ll go ahead and update the post with pics! 😀

Ooh! Reading this and seeing your ice cream pictures is making me want to break out *my* ice cream maker and make something. :))

Good luck with your laundry sweets. I think it’s one of my least favorite chores. It’s like, no matter how often I do it, it never goes away. Kinda like dishes! Boo dishes! lol.

*nods* Yea about the laundry. We have to wash both sheets…so we’re probably gonna hafta go out in this bad weather to get quarters. You’d think that an apartment complex as big as this one, that has soda machines in the laundry room would also have a change machine. LOL

And yea…the dishes…oh the dishes!! With only the 2 of us, it amazes me how many dirty dishes we can accumulate! LOL Though, I suppose it’s our own fault for being such cooks LOL

Yeah, that’s our problem too.. We cook most everything. My mom is always harping on me for never having an empty sink. Well, if I only ate pre-packaged foods, I’d have no dishes either. lol.

@redvinylkitty *laughs* Yea. makes me very happy we have a dishwasher!! We do *some* pre-packaged foods and microwave meals, but we keep them on hand for “poor weeks” and when we’re just snacky or if we forage for supper (not make a meal, just eat what we’re craving)

Yeah, we eat some pre-packaged things too. 🙂 I just mean that the vast majority of what we eat is made from scratch. 🙂 Snacks are usually pre-packaged for us too, unless I’m just eating fruits or veggies. 🙂
