So, as I’m sure a lot of you know, I have become a bit of a lube whore. D and I go through a lot of it, what with not only his girth and uncircumcised state, but with how frequently we have sex, we need the aid of added lubrication.
So the other day when WET! offered to send me their Naturals line to review, I’m quite certain my squeals of glee could be heard a couple counties over.
A few things about the products all together:
- they are glycerin free
- they are paraben free
- 2 of the 3 are water based
- they come in 3.3oz bottles
- the bottles have an indentation for your thumb that actually does make pouring easier
So, they are water based, which makes them safe to use with any toy. They come in 3.3oz plastic bottles, that have flip tops on them. The bottles are very smooth though, so if you get lube on them, they can get slippery. A minor annoyance, but life does go on. Just wipe the bottle off with a towel and it’s fine. There are 3 types of lube in the Naturals line, and they each have their own lid color. Beautifully Bare, has a light blue cap. Sensual Strawberry has a pink cap, and Silky Supreme has a purple cap. So, the lubes…
Now, this is the one we had some problems with. Unfortunately, it’s in our “not using” drawer. Silky Supreme is the one that is not water based. It really really is silky, but, at least with our skin, it has a peculiar habit of evaporating uber quickly, yet leaving an oily residue on the skin that if you continue sex playing gets a tad sticky. It’s also very hard to wash off your skin. (This is the one on the far right side of my picture.) It does have a tad of a chemically smell also, but you really need to have your nose in it to smell it. I did not taste it.
Regarding the evaporation issue, reapplication (at least for us) didn’t work due to the consistency it already had achieved with a little movement and air exposure. This very well could be due to our skin types, water type, soap residue on our skin from showering, anything like that. With the bit of greasy quality this one does have, if you’re able to get past that evaporation and texture once you move, I imagine it’d be good for anal play with a toy 🙂 Just not anal intercourse.
The ingredients are: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Cyclomethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate).
Now, even with my lube whorish-ness, I tend to stay away from flavored lube. When I suck D, I do it because I enjoy giving him that pleasure, as well as I enjoy his taste. Surprisingly, D was uber quick to pop this one open and smell it. It smells heavinly! Eventually we tasted it, and this is what D said: “I could just drink this!” That is how good it tastes. It really, just plain ‘ole tastes like Strawberries!
This lube is made for sensitive skin, so along with being water based, paraben and glycerin free (Yep! A flavored lube glycerin free, yay for no stickiness!!) it is also hypoallergenic and ph balanced! Its sweetener is Aspartame, which is not the best for us because I am allergic to it. But, D using a dab of it on me when he performs oral sex on me is just fine! It slides all over, does not get gunky or sticky, and for me, the best part is that the scent is not overwhelming. So often flavored lubes smell up the whole room just when you open them. Sensual Strawberry does not do that. (This’ll be the middle bottle in the picture.)
Now, because there IS a sweetener in this, please take care when and if you’re using this internally. Any type of sugar that enters the vagina can very easily lead to yeast infections.
Ingredients: Water, PEG, Flavor, Aspartame, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polysorbate-20, Sodium Benzoate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Triethanolamine, Citric Acid, Carbomer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cran-berry) Fruit Extract, Trifolium Pratense ( Clover) Flower Extract, Ascorbic Acid.
Now this is the one that we really liked! Which is humorous to me because it’s a gel. They label it an “enriched intimacy gel.” We’ve had problems with gels in the past as they often had glycerin in them, I can’t imagine why. To thicken them maybe? This lube does not. They added soothing botanicals in it as well as aloe and vitamin e. Nothing like moisturized, smooth skin eh?
Beautifully Bare is slick, doesn’t get sticky, lasts quite a while (we only needed 1 reapplication with a 3o minute sex session with position changes) and cleans off easily. It’s non-staining and does not have the greasy issue that Silky Supreme had. Beautifully Bare, with it’s gel quality, is also good for anal play, though I’m not sure I’d use it for any prolonged anal sex interaction. Maybe just some finger and/or toy play back there.
It’s very good for vaginal sex, it works very well with your natural lubrication and is very good for use with toys as well. Being silicone free it’s safe with any vaginal toy. It’s also very easy to wash off. Just a bit of water does it actually. (This is the bottle on the far left in my picture.)

I’m so excited to have finally tried these! I’d heard so many good things about Wet! and their lubes, but couldn’t find any glycerin free up here. All we’d been able to find was silicone lube (which we don’t like) and their flavored lubes. D is allergic to glycerin, so we cannot use them. So when I was finally able to try these… yay is all I can say!!
Thank you, Thank you Wet!
