So ever since my surgery and not being able to use vaginally penetrative toys, I’ve become a bit obsessed with clit toys. So needless to say, I was happy when Eden Fantasys let me review the Sabar . Designed by industrial designer Michael Young, this shiny vibrator is made out of hard, smooth plastic.
It’s about 7″ long, with a girth of about 1 1/2″. It takes 2 AAA batteries, which do *not* come with it. However, it does come with a very nice velvet pouch to put your toy in. Always nice.
Beings that it’s plastic, it IS sterlizable using a 10% bleach solution to wash it. (10% bleach to 90% water) Please make sure to rinse it well after using a bleach solution. You can also use an antibacterial toy cleaner such as this one from Cal Exotics found at Eden Fantasys . However, this toy is *not* waterproof, so make sure to keep the liquids away from the battery compartment.
At the bottom of the toy you will see some slits in the side of it. (Not the grooves which I’ll talk about in a sec.) Simply grip and tub and the battery compartment will slide open. As you will see, there is no o-ring or other o-ring style substitute so there is nothing to protect the electronics from moisture so keep it dry. It just takes 2 AAA batteries, with instructions on which one goes + side up, et cetera, right on it. Then, the piece that comes out slides right back in and with a click, it’s secure.
On the end of the battery compartment there is a rectangle shaped button. It glows red when it’s on. (I realized I don’t have a pic of it. Sorry!) Press it once and it starts at a fairly low vibration setting. As you hold it in, it increases in power. There are no pulse settings, only a straight vibration that goes from quite low, to what I’d consider a medium high setting, perhaps 4 on a 1-5 scale.
It is not loud, a closed door and radio would be enough, or even an open door, under covers with a radio.
There are grooves on the sides, one on each side that is quite handy! As this toy is plastic, it gets very slippery. The grooves help so your fingers don’t slip and slide quite as badly. On the picture, the left side, the more slim side is the side to be used against your body. The right hand, thicker side is the one with the battery compartment. If you look close, you can see the slits where the piece pops out to insert the batteries.
How does it work? Very well!! I’m very fond of this toy and will be using it a lot! It works best for clitoral stimulation, as it’s meant to. The button is easy to use, simply holding it down until you find your desired vibrational strength. As it simply goes up and down gradually, without blatantly changing speeds (I couldn’t say there’s x-number of speeds, as there isn’t. It simply starts low and speeds up) it’s a more gradual progression which can be very good if you’re sensitive, or new to toys. Once it reaches it’s highest speed, it just goes back to the lowest and goes back up again.
I really like the long handle of this toy. Being a bigger girl, sometimes those itty bitty clit toys are just hard to use ‘cuz of reach problems. If you have a similar problem, then this sex toy is definitely for you! Also, this toy is very very nice for simulation around the vaginal entry. I don’t really find it to be a penetrative toy, nor a g-spot toy or anything of the sort. However, get it vibrating about 3/4 of the way up and insert it just slightly into your vagina and it feels incredible! D is able to angle it just right so I feel none of the vibrations in my vagina and all of them in my anus. It’s amazing!!
**The trick to turning it off: How do you turn it off? Took us a while to figure it out! LOL I actually had taken the batteries out at one point ‘cuz I couldn’t figure it out. Well, what you to is push the button once, then push it a second time and hold it down. This will power down the vibrator until off. It actually does slow down the vibrations and eventually turn off. Takes perhaps 3-5 seconds or so. The red light will turn off when it’s all the way powered off.
