Evolved Travel Vibe Anguilla

Isn’t it freaking cute??  The Evolved travel vibe Anguilla is an itty bitty vibrator.  It’s not really meant for insertion; it’s total length is about 4 1/2″ long with a circumference of about 3 1/2″.  It’s insertible length is maybe 3″ so yea; no insertion.  Mine is pink and you can also get one in purple. While this is a discreet vibrator it’s not necessarily hide-able in plain sight. You can look at it and know it’s a sex toy.

The bottom has a twist off cap with a nice o-ring in it.  It takes just 1 AA battery.  The control button is just one button on the end of the cap.  It has 2 speeds, medium and high.  The one problem is that it’s kind of loud though; this really isn’t a sneak-into-a-public-bathroom vibrator.  However it is GREAT for travel ‘cuz of it’s size and power, if you can get a place where sound wouldn’t matter.  Just a tv and closed door would be enough to mask the volume.

It’s very hard, but also has a lovely velvety feel to it.  It feels wonderful on the clit and labia.  Plus, the unique shape also lends to great sensations as you move it over your sensitive bits.

The package it comes in is a bottle type container.  It’s fairly sturdy see through plastic.   You carefully balance the vibrator on it’s bottom on the bottom of the container then put the top on and it’s totally enclosed.  It also has a little holder on the top, though it doesn’t stay together being held like that, so it’s more for looks unless you tape it closed.

All in all this is a great toy!  Being plastic it’s mostly non-porous; just use a 10% bleach solution or an antibacterial toy cleaner and you’re good!  Just make sure to clean them! LOL

For storage since it’s plastic it’s non reactive with everything but silicone, so you can safely store it outside of it’s container if you wish.  (Considering the container needs to sit on it’s end you just may do so; as I do, store it outside of the container.)

All in all?  4 out of 5!  Thanks Eden Fantasys!!

So many say that fibromyalgia is “all in your head.”  Those that believe it exists.  I challenge any of those who don’t to live a week in my shoes, or the shoes of any other who have to live with this…wonderful, condition.

Fibromyalgia is many things, strangely enough including that yes, it really is all in our heads…at least in that the pain is caused from synapses in our brains firing too much, which makes our nerve endings flare for no reason at all.  Along with chronic pain, every moment of every day, for no reason (i.e.- injury), it also causes a constant case of the “creepy crawlies.”

However, along with chronic pain fibromyalgia is so much more.  It’s really a collection of “symptoms”  which seem to be unrelated yet do not fall under any other category and are typically found together.  (Fibro is kind of the schitzal-type personality disorder of physical medical conditions.)  Fibro is depression, anxiety and chronic fatigue.  It’s stiffness, irritable bowl syndrome and a bad memory.

Not to mention simply having the knowledge that you have a chronic medical condition.  I am 29 years old and have had fibromyalgia my whole life.  I’ve been told that my trigger event for it was likely actually before I was born.

So many people who have physical issues can push themselves, and I can too, to a point.  I however have reached a point where I cannot push myself anymore.  I’m at the end of my rope.

My boyfriend has a couple chronic medical problems, but he can still push himself, so it’s hard for him to understand why I cannot, or do not anymore.  It makes things difficult.  But he’s patient with me, as I am with him.

I’ve been told that at only 29 I shouldn’t or cannot have an “old persons” disease.  Fibro isn’t limited by age.

Fibro is real.  Deal with it.

With the waxing fertility of the Earth…

comes some waxing fertility in my life…. and NO, I am not pregnant!  LOL  Things are just looking up, that’s all. I just left a message with my disability worker for an update on my case; I will have to see a doctor (that they pay for) and I want to make sure I know when it is so I can make it to the appointment.  I need to get on disability so I can care for myself.

Happily though I do have a job, working from home.  It’s part time and just less than half what I was making before, but that’s okay with me.  Plus I’m getting paid via paypal, so I won’t have to worry about cashing a check!  It’s money!  Plus, we have been able to get turned around and tomorrow we will be paying rent on time for the first time in a long, long time!

My mom is visiting us in just over 1 week, and she will be staying for a full week, Tuesday to Tuesday. I’m mostly excited!  Also a little nervous; we still have a flea here and there (going to be doing a mega vacuum today or tomorrow to hopefully get the last few of them) and I don’t need her seeing one.  Also, I haven’t spent time like that with my mom for over 10 years LOL

So a couple days ago my mom and I were talking and she told me she had a surprise for me, so of course she told me.  She said that we (me and D) could choose 1 gift out of a list; it didn’t matter what we chose, but she would buy whichever we wanted.  Our choices were; a grill, a mattress, 2 bikes (1 for each of us) or a flat panel TV.  So I was all “holy shit!” and started thinking about it.  I told D and he didn’t want anything to do with it, as he’s very anti gift giving and receiving (bad experiences when he was young) so he said he didn’t care and that I could pick whatever.

So, I was talking with mom and I’ve decided that D will be getting a new bike.  So that’s his part of it.  And basically, so long as whatever I decide is about $350 or less, it can be whatever.  So, mine will be some gardening stuff for my balcony so I can start growing some veggies and then a few things for around the house, prolly some kitchen stuff, new silverware, maybe a bookshelf or something.  Oh! And file folders LOL  We got 2 large-ish file cabinets from D’s work when they move buildings, for free, but they’re wide so they need legal-sized file folders rather than standard sized, so my file folders don’t fit.

I told my mom yesterday what I was thinking for me and I could tell she was happy that I was going the route of necessities, as opposed to junk (not that a PS3 hadn’t flashed through my mind LOL) and just said to start making my list! I think she’s also excited to help me start an apartment garden.  My mom loves gardening so any chance to work in dirt like that she’s happy about.

It feels so good to have a lot of this stress off our shoulders.  We have gotten things straightened out, at least rent wise.  I need to get my food stamps straightened out but hopefully I did that yesterday. Won’t know ’till probably tomorrow though, as my worker is out of the office today, naturally.

D is having some trouble adjusting to the lack of stress.  For so long we’d been going full bore to get rent paid and now that that’s over he’s having trouble focusing and doesn’t really know what to do with his focus, ya know?  A lot of that, though, is D’s condition (he has schitzal-type personality disorder).

As for me, I’m just trying to get caught up on my reviewing, trying to get my website fucking working again (should have that taken care of within the next 6 weeks, wish it was sooner though) and getting used to working again as well as hopefully getting approved for disability.

Anyway, that’s all for now.  I do have more to say, but I need to write an article for work, so I need to budget my typing LOL

An expert guide? Yup!

So, there are a few reasons right away to love this DVD.  1 – It’s by Tristan Taormino.  2 – It has Evan Stone in it.  3 – It’s by Vivid.  4 – It’s about female orgasms.  Do I really need to write anything else?  NOPE!  So… that’s all you get…

Haha!  Just kidding.  Anyway, Tristan Taormino’s Expert Guide to Female Orgasms includes over 30 minutes of her explaining, with a little input from a few female and male adult movie stars, all about female orgasms.  They talk about how different positions cause different sensations, how women have several different kinds of orgasms (vaginal, g-spot, clitoral, anal, nipple, any combination thereof, and even some from pain), and one thing I am really glad they talked at length about is how for some women it can take quite some time for a woman to orgasm and how that’s perfectly normal.

Throughout the 30+ minutes of instruction they show different clips which help illustrate a certain point they’re talking about, such as the process of female arousal which includes the outer labia turning pink/red and the inner labia swelling up a bit with the flow of blood going down there.

Some other points Taormino hits upon are: some women make noise, others don’t, some scream; there’s no wrong way to orgasm; anal pleasure; sex toys; female ejaculation. The great thing about this video is that Taormino really knows what she’s talking about and she explains everything using terms many if not all know and understand and she explains those that many may not understand. Also, she is very friendly, calm and sex positive; thus she’s open-minded and has absolutely nothing of the “this is wrong” mindset. She frequently says that there’s no wrong way to orgasm which I think is important for many women toh ear.

There are a few extras on the dvd as well including safer sex practices, kegel exercises, a masturbation montage and a behind the scenes feature.  Something I really enjoyed though is how after the 30 minute segment with Taormino they include sex scenes with all the couples.  The sex scenes are not your normal porn though, as they’re all about showing how these ladies orgasm for real; no porn acting or anything, it’s simply the women having real orgasms in the way that their bodies orgasm.  It was wonderful!!

I highly recommend this video if you’re interested in learning more about female orgasm and if you like to learn from movies. Otherwise, as awesome and thorough as this video is, I would recommend a book in conjunction with the video; the book would be best for instruction and the clips at the end of Taormino’s video showing the adult stars having their own kinds of orgasms are very good for visualizing it all.

Thank you Babland, for sending me this video in exchange for a fair and honest review!!

Ride ‘Em Cowgirl!!

Ride 'Em Cowgirl!!

From time to time, it’s nice to get something sex related that’s not erotica, porn or a sex toy.  And this time around, thanks to MyPleasure, it was Ride ‘Em Cowgirl by Dr. Sadie Allison.

Size wise, the book is smaller, though it’s pretty thick at 215 pages.  Also, it’s not at all discreet as there are a lot of illustrations of naked people, sex positions and genitals.  The illustrations are sort of cartoony, however they do a good job illustrating the various positions Allison talks about.

So, basically, Ride ‘Em Cowgirl is a book all about sex positions.  Everything from the importance of being properly lubed to safer sex practices are listed in this book.  Allison also includes information on positions for pregnancy and post-partum, anal sex and play, oral sex and even information on things to do if your man has a very large penis, or if it’s on the smaller side.  She includes positions that specifically are good for simulating the clitoris, or g-spot and even a whole chapter on ways to engage in sex play without having intercourse.

Something that really impressed me is that has suggestions on positions if you’re a bigger person!  And that’s if he is larger, if she is larger, or if both are large!  Often those of us who are bigger are often overlooked, so it was really nice to see that.

Something else that I think is really nice about this adult book is that it’s written in a very nice voice.  It’s like talking to your good friend who also is very knowledgeable about sex.  Dr. Allison makes sure to include tips specifically for women, such as making sure to have smooth nails when playing with a penis, and also tips for men, such as the fact that a lot of women don’t enjoy getting razor burn.

All in all I was very happily surprised by this book.  I’d read a couple other of Allison’s books and wasn’t blown away, but Ride ‘Em Cowgirl really is a good book whether you’re a sexpert or if you’re new to sex play.

Highly, highly recommended!!

Thanks MyPleasure, for letting me have this book in exchange for a fair and honest review!! ^^

The Wonder of the Bendable You Too

Size comparison, next to a 20oz Coke bottle.

You gotta love Evolved’s sex toys. They are unique and quality yet well priced. And the Bendable You Too .

It comes in pink and purple, though the packaging is not the rockin’ long term uber-box that Evolved’s toys usually come in. This comes in a plastic case with a plastic insert. You could use it again, but it’s not the high quality box that usually comes with Evolved vibrators.

It’s 8 inches long and has a cord to a power pack.  The cord is over 2 feet long which I really like, you can get in whatever position you want and not have to worry about the cord being too short.

It has 7 speeds, medium – high – super high and then 4 pulsations.  The cool thing is that it has 2 motors that vibrate with equal power; each on either side of the vibrator itself.  Then there’s about 3-4 inches of the bendy-ness between the motors.

I find this toy to be one of the best for plus sized women out there. With it’s length it’s easy to reach the difficult to reach places.  Not to mention it’s awesome for any sized women (or men!) because you can get it into any position you want.

Yes -- any position you want!!

And you can then straighten it back out.  Now, it never really does get exactly straight again; however the little crimp that seems to stay does not at all affect the performance of the toy at all.

The power pack is easy to use with an on-off button and then a separate button to flip through the patterns.  It takes 2 AAA batteries, just twist off the cap.  And, it IS waterproof!!  There’s a lovely O-ring in the power pack so that is splash proof (I would not recommend submerging the power pack.)  The vibrator itself is safe to be fully immersed in water.

Having said all that; the Bendable You Too is not my favorite toy, not by a long shot.  However, it’s so unique that that totally transcends the not-my-favorite-ness.  This is one of my go-to toys for when I’m taking a bath, I can get it into whatever position my body wants; if I want g-spot, internal or clitoral stimulation it can get it all!

There’s also a little point at the end of the toy (you can see it on the right side of the above photo) that’s really great for clitoral stimulation.  You can get some great dual stimulation with this toy, if your body is the right size.  I find that mine isn’t, so I don’t tend to use it that way.  It does work well for g-spot stimulation, but because the body of the toy is malleable it’s hard to put a lot of pressure up on your g-spot, but if you don’t need/want that then it’s perfect!!

Highly recommended!!

Thanks Eden Fantasys!

Hi all!  Thought I’d give a bit of an update; I actually have a few things to say! LOL

First off, D’s employer has said they’ll give us an advance on his pay, at the end of the money.  So that’s uber good; we will be able to get over this hump!  I’ve figured out that in the end, I really didn’t want to go home, I just wanted to know 100% which way we were going; are we going or staying?  And as soon as I’d be okay with whatever was going on things would change and we’d be going the other direction.  There is such a profound sense of relief!

I went to full moon ritual last Saturday night and it was amazing.  I can’t really say how amazing, there aren’t words to describe it.  It really helped me to remember just why I moved, why I love it here, and so forth.  So that’s awesome!

Lastly the cats still have fleas, like we could just get rid of them with everything we’ve done! LOL  Tomorrow I’m going to be doing a ritual, calling on both Sehkmet and Bastet, and possibly Thor to help with this battle, and (as I type this one of the cats is climbing on me) then I’m going to be really going to war, holistically; I have several things I’ll be doing to kill the fleas, repel the fleas and so forth and then after a few more days I’m going to bathe the cats again in flea shampoo.

My mom is visiting in 3 weeks (as of today! EEK!) and I must have this taken care of before then.  Plus, I’ve learned a lot about fleas and so I’ll be able to keep things at a good status quo; since 1 – there’s no freezing here and 2 – there’s a ton of cats in the complex we live in, I’m not surprised we have them and I’ll be able to keep us protected from them in the future.

Also, one of my Sisters from the Full Moon circle is an animal communicator and is coming over in the morning!  She may have some Advantage left that she’d bring to help medicate my kitties and she’s going to be talking to my cats (those who will talk to her) and see what they have to say.

We still have some stressors; making sure we actually get the pay advance; making sure we don’t have problems with my rent assistance, figuring out how we’re going to eat for the next few weeks, figuring out how we’re going to get cat food and litter for the next few weeks, me waiting to hear about a couple job prospects as well as disability (I’d prefer disability).  But, at least we have a home!

Update:  So, I actually couldn’t post this yesterday ‘cuz wordpress wasn’t working.  So I’m posting it now.  Happily yesterday D did get the pay advance check from his employers.  Just now it’s getting it deposited and hoping it clears in time!  (I’m sure it will, usually checks are available in 2 days.
