Hope

So hope is a real, tangible thing for me/us now.  With D having 2 jobs we are going to be caught up on our bills by the end of November, PLUS this month we’re actually buying some new pieces of furniture.  Holy crap!  D’s second job (which hopefully after the holiday season will be his main, full time job) is at a furniture store that has some great prices, so we’re picking up a coffee table, a matching couch table and a jewelry armoire.  The armoire is prolly the only “non necessity” however we’re tired of having our jewelry sitting in a Spacemaker in the bathroom closet.

The tables have more than one shelf in them and also have drawers so we will have some more storage which will be so nice!  Right now we just have piles of stuff everywhere and this little bar/counter thing in the wall between the kitchen and dining area is just packed with random stuff.  It’ll be nice to be able to have a table to put drinks on and stuff when we’re watching tv.

Next on the list (I put my foot down) is a mattress.  We can get a really nice one through his work that’s got a pillow type top and is also firm.  We’re actually gonna get a king sized bed.  A queen works for us, but due to our various back problems and such, we both need room to move around and a queen just doesn’t give that much room sometimes.  We’ll just get a mattress first probably, ‘cuz firms aren’t that cheap.  Then down the line we’ll get the box spring and a frame that we really like.  We both want a canopy bed.  Then, I can make some awesome curtains for it ❤  We’ve made the conscious decision that we’re not going to get something to just have it.  If we need to wait a bit so we can ensure we spend our money on what we really, really want then we’ll wait.

There’s this armoire type item at D’s work that has this center door you open, and it turns open and then it opens 2 other doors (the other 2 sides to it, the back being stationary) and it’s got all these drawers and shelves and stuff in it.  It’s so cool! D said that if it’s still there after we get the bed I can have it and use it for my altar supplies 😀 I don’t really like how it’s painted so eventually I’d repaint it.  It’s great ‘cuz D’s boss is letting him put things aside for a couple weeks before we can pay for stuff so we can know exactly how much it’ll be and then it’s set aside so no one else buys it.

I’m still looking for a part time job for me.  I have realized that I enjoy working at home too much to work full time outside the home again.  But a part time job (either at home or outside the home) would be great so I have a little extra spending money and money I can save as well.  I really, really need to know that I am putting money aside for saving, even if it’s just in a damn box under the bed.  (which our stash of saved money is NOT in a box under our bed LOL)

I’ve also figured out how I’m going to be storing my sex toys in the near future.  I’m going to be getting a couple rolling carts of drawers, then I’m going to line the drawers with fabric 🙂  I’m going to make sure both carts are the same size and different colors so I can mix and match the drawers, make them more “me.”  Going to be putting that next to my side of the bed 🙂  Still haven’t figured out how I want to store my porn though.  My collection is pretty steadily increasing, though one of my porns I’m sending to a friend in a couple weeks.
